Boiling at Reduced Pressure

We have studied that the normal boiling point of the liquid is equal to the temperature at which the saturated vapour pressure of the liquid become equal to the atmospheric pressure. If the pressure above the liquid is reduced then liquid will boil at a temperature lower than the normal boiling point. This is illustrated in activity 14.3.
